Consistency, analytic reference and subjective enjoyment exist at the core of what has come to be known as the ‘ZMF House Sound’. To ensure our standards at ZMF we use both Brüel & Kjær type 5128 high-frequency head simulator for HATS measurements, and a Larson Davis Headphone Production Test Fixture Model AECM210/AEC206 run through Audio Precision software. We then listen to every headphone before it leaves the shop, with a sweet list of test tracks.

Every headphone is run through a gamut of tests, quality control, and then more measurements through the build process. Check out the “ZMF Process” YouTube video HERE so see more about this. Our test track list is in this video too!

All measurements are taken at 94 dB/mW (Average Frequency Sweep Volume). All measurements represented, except those listed HATS, are taken on the Larson Davis AECM210 rigs using Audio Precision Software in an Anechoic Chamber.
